CIEH Level 3 Award in Training - Principles and Practice

This is a CIEH short, introductory, knowledge-based training qualification based on one Unit of the QCF Level 3 Award in Education and Training:  Understanding and Using Inclusive Teaching and Learning Approaches in Education and Training.

Who needs this qualification?

This is an essential qualification for anyone wishing to become a CIEH registered trainer* or to update and refresh their training skills and practice.

Why is this training important?

This qualification encourages a flexible approach to training delivery that takes account of learners’ needs and preferences. It covers initial assessment, planning and preparation, training delivery, assessment and evaluation.  Across all these themes, inclusive practice is a key focus of the delivery and assessment for the qualification.

Duration: Three-day programme
Assessment: 1,000 word assignment and candidates must plan and deliver a 20-25 minute micro-teaching session to a group of two peers and the tutor.  Candidates must also complete at least two peer assessmentsof similar micro-teach sessions.
Ofqual accredited: Yes
Prerequisite: Candidates should have a minimum of Level 2 in English, or equivalent, to undertake this qualification
